RICHMOND, Va. — Housing officials say the girlfriend of a man charged with shooting Virginia State Police special agent is being evicted from her home for allowing him to live there.

Richmond Redevelopment and Housing Authority Directory T.K. Somanath tells The Richmond Times-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/2rJrEb3) that the girlfriend of 27-year-old Travis Ball is being kicked out of her Mosby Court home.

The housing authority says Ball wasn’t listed on the listed on the lease and was banned from authority property last year. Somanath declined to identify the woman, who lives there with her five children.

Authorities say Ball shot Special Agent Michael Walter in Mosby Court on Friday. Walter died early Saturday. Ball faces malicious wounding and firearm charges. Additional charges are expected.
