Turning of the tassles

The next step in life began this weekend for the 817 Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. seniors who graduated from the district’s three high schools.

Columbus Signature Academy – New Tech conducted its commencement ceremony Friday evening, while Columbus East and Columbus North conducted theirs Saturday.

The graduates now will embark on the next phase of their lives. For some that will be higher education, and for others the military or the workforce.

Based on the comments of commencement speakers, the graduates are ready. They spoke of the seniors’ accomplishments, perseverance, pushing boundaries and learning new things about themselves. In the process, the students also acquired key skills that will help them in the journey ahead.
