WOODSTOCK, Ill. — Woodstock officials are seeking public opinions about redeveloping the historic city square.
The (Crystal Lake) Northwest Herald reports (http://bit.ly/2rrJ3Si) that the city is compiling a plan for the area to ensure that redevelopment is cohesive.
There are nine key sites on which the plan is focusing. They include the old courthouse and sheriff’s jail, Richard’s Building Supply, Woodstock Station, the American AdBag building, the old Grace Lutheran Church and more.
Garrett Anderson is director of economic development. He says the market is improving and officials “can see progress in the short term.”
Residents may complete a survey available on the city’s website . There will be a public hearing on the topic. Anderson said there will be a walking tour of downtown in the new few weeks.
