Martin and Donita Skinner of 13th Street are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a party June 10 at Central Heights Church of God. They have also planned a fall trip to Savannah, Georgia.
Mr. Skinner and the former Donita Smith were married June 9, 1967, at Sardinia Baptist Church by the Rev. Hankins.
Mr. Skinner is retired from Columbus City Utilities. He is a CSA umpire.
Mrs. Skinner is a homemaker and volunteers at Clarity and as a Book Buddy.
The couple have two children, Sarah (Jesse) Bassett and Amanda (James) Eiler. They also have six grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
