RESTON, Va. — A firefighter was hospitalized after falling through the floor of a burning home and into the basement.

The Fairfax County Fire Department tells local news outlets the fire started at a townhouse in Reston early Wednesday morning. The residents were not home at the time of the fire.

The firefighter was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was later released.

Officials have not released the cause of the blaze.
