Lee O. Miracle, 82, of Columbus, died at 8:33 a.m. Monday, June 5, 2017, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.

Mr. Miracle was born July 7, 1934, in Middlesboro, Kentucky, the son of Daniel and Mary Worley Miracle. He married Shirley F. Hill June 16, 1956.

Mr. Miracle was a U.S. Marine Corp. veteran, being honorably discharged March 8, 1956.

Mr. Miracle was a longtime employee of Reliance Electric (later Rockwell), retiring after 30 years of service.

He enjoyed the time he spent with family and he was an avid bowler.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 61 years, Shirley; brothers, H.L. (Louise) Miracle of Pineville, Kentucky, Harold Miracle of Corbin, Kentucky, David Ray (Evelyn) Miracle of Speedwell, Tennessee, Dennis Dale (Carol) Miracle of Sevierville, Tennessee, Carl Thomas (Diane) Miracle of Tennessee and Paul Lester (Rita) Miracle of Rogersville, Tennessee; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mr. Miracle was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Mary and James Williams; his father and step-mother, Daniel and Juelita Miracle; a sister, Irene Hoskins; and a brother, Cleston Miracle.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Doug Lane officiating.

Family and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. Full military rites will be presented by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard.
