The first of the free 2017 Donner Park Variety Shows will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the park shelter house near 19th and Lafayette streets. It will mark the 20th anniversary of the revival of the gatherings.
The Soldiers Joy String Band will headline the event. It also will feature Columbus East High School’s Jazz Inc., guitarist Jalen Pleak, singer Charlie Moore and vocalist Luan Arnold.
The Evening Kiwanis Club of Columbus, WCSI Radio and the Columbus Parks and Recreation Department sponsor the show.
