FRANKLIN COUNTY — A local man was involved in a two-vehicle accident that resulted in the death of a Milroy man.
Indiana State Police and Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies were sent to U.S. 52 near State Road 1 at 4:45 p.m. Sunday. Trooper Matthew Holley said a 2003 Honda motorcycle driven by Robert J. Tillison Jr., 53, Milroy, was traveling westbound on U.S. 52 just west of State Road 1 when he crossed the centerline into the path of an eastbound 2012 Chevrolet Silverado pulling a fishing boat.
The driver of the truck was Ethan T. Hill, 26, Columbus, Holley said.
Tillison was thrown from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Franklin County Coroner’s office, said Sgt. Stephen Wheeles, Indiana State Police spokesman. Hill was not injured.
