OZARK, Ala. — An Alabama man reported missing has been found dead, with early findings indicating that he died of a single gunshot wound.

The Dothan Eagle reports (http://bit.ly/2t5Sg3g ) that a volunteer search party found 20-year-old Robert Dylan Gunter on Wednesday about 250 yards (229 meters) into the woods in Ozark, close to where he was last seen Sunday morning. Gunter was reported missing on the same day.

Gunter is believed to have left his cell phone and personal belongings at his home.

Ozark police, the Dale County Sheriff’s Department and the coroner’s office are investigating.
