Trinity Lutheran senior receives UPI scholarship

Emma Wischmeier, Columbus, has received a $1,000 United Producers Inc. (UPI) Scholarship.

She is a senior at Trinity Lutheran High School in Seymour and is the daughter of Louis and Holly Wischmeier. Upon graduation, she plans to study agriculture business at Purdue University.

The scholarship is awarded to a 2017 graduating high school senior enrolled in a college or technical school, studying an agriculture-related field.

UPI is a farmer-owned cooperative which offers livestock marketing services to farmer members, as well as risk management and credit services. UPI awarded $16,000 in scholarships in seven states where it has facilities, including two in Indiana.
