A keepsake special section, Celebration of Athletes, wrapping up the local 2016-17 high school sports season, is included in today’s edition of The Republic.
The 16-page, magazine-style section includes vignettes about the 20 athletes of the year in boys and girls high school sports through the fall, winter and spring seasons. The vignettes contain fun and revealing information about the athletes, including their favorite inspirational quotes and the most memorable moments from their high school careers.
The section also highlights — in words and photos — The Republic’s Bartholomew County Athlete of the Year Gala. The inaugural event drew about 250 people to The Commons on June 7.
