Lance Cpl. William Bucklew Jr., 19, of Columbus, graduated from U.S. Marine Corps boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego on Sept. 16.
He completed Military Occupation Specialty School in California and is currently a machine gunner.
Bucklew, a 2016 graduate of Columbus East High School, is the son of Jennifer Alis and William Bucklew Sr., both of Columbus.
