Donna L. Cowin, 69, of Columbus, died Saturday, June 17, 2017, at her home.
She was a homemaker. Donna loved to sew, and collected salt and pepper shakers and cookie jars. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Born on Feb. 20, 1948, in Rushville, Donna was the daughter of Jefferson and Bernice L. Hull Griffin. She married James E. Cowin on Sept. 22, 1967, in Shelbyville, and he survives.
Other survivors include children, James Jr. and Eric Cowin, Deanna (Brent) Herron, Shawn (Chris) Grider and Dawn Cowin; grandchildren, Alexis and Monica Cowin, Tanner Herron, Nataley Cowin, Enrique and Mariana Hernandez, James Eugene and Ayden Cowin; siblings, Bernice (Louis) Byrd, Jeff Griffin, Frank (Ginny) Griffin, James Griffin, John Griffin, Isabel Goodlow, Richard (Brenda) Griffin, David Griffin, Danny (Kami) Griffin and Marsha Warren; and several nieces and nephews.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Barbara Griffin, Brenda Dixie and Joy MaBeth Loften.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Norman Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Warner officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to service Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Miller Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
