Charles R. Blackburn, 84, of Albany, died Tuesday afternoon, June 20, 2017, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry Blackburn; two sons, Steve (Deb) Blackburn of Albany and Randy (Dusty) Blackburn of Columbus; three daughters, Melody Bisel of Portland, Charla (David) Schwartz of Muncie and Julie (Jason) Stockton of New Albany; four brothers, Roy Blackburn of Fairview, Jesse (Carolyn) Blackburn of Kokomo, David (Elaine) Blackburn of Kokomo and Joe (Sudy) Blackburn of Kokomo; a sister, Dorothy Dickerson of Tullahoma, Tennessee; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at The Family Worship Center in Portland. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service Friday at The Family Worship Center.
