J.C. Brown Day concert today at Moose Park

Four southern gospel groups will perform during a free concert beginning at 1:30 p.m. today at Moose Park, 398 County Road 300E.

The event is part of the Seventh Annual J.C. Brown Day, honoring the late Columbus resident, radio disc jockey and singer who had a huge impact on gospel music in this region. He also organized Gospel Music Week events that drew capacity crowds at the original Ciommons in downtown Columbus.

Performing will be Redemption’s Cross, The Nales, the Brown Family and The Colwells.

The event is free. Organizers encourage people to bring a lawn chair and enjoy the day. Concessions will be available.
