Forty-four teams amounting to more than 500 people participated in the 14th annual Relay for Life at Northside Middle School.


Columbus police began issuing warning tickets to people congregating in 25th Street parking lots after business hours.


The decision was made to dismantle the 112-year-old Steenbarger Bridge, a rare example of the Whipple truss design, when the cost of moving it to the Henry Breeding Farm proved too high and the Army National Guard declined to move it by helicopter because of its immense weight.
