Alan and Cindy Slachter of Edinburgh are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
Mr. Slachter and the former Cindy Reed were married by the Rev. Ray Belcher on June 24, 1967, at Shilo Baptist Church in Bridgeport, Illinois.
Mr. Slachter is retired from Cummins.
Mrs. Slachter is retired from Columbus Regional Hospital’s Wound Care Center.
The couple have one child, Steve (Carmela) Slachter of Columbus. They also have three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
