Lee Ella Rhea Shoultz, 83, of Columbus, passed away at 8:05 p.m. June 28, 2017, at her daughter’s home.
Lee was born March 17, 1934, in Sparta, Tennessee, the daughter of James Monroe and Erma Bumbalough Rhea. She married Edwin Jewell Shoultz on May 2, 1952. He preceded her in death on July 15, 2015.
Lee graduated from Clifford High School in 1952, and was a long-time employee of Irwin Union Bank. She loved spending time with her family.
The funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2017, at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Virgil Clotfelter officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Monday. Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
Survivors include daughters, Vicki (Steve) Krause of Columbus, Sandra (John) Prowell of Hershey, Pennsylvania and Christina Jewell Shoultz of Columbus; grandchildren, Shelley Graham and Kolbe Stoner, both of Columbus; and great-grandchildren, Paige, Justin and Sydney Graham.
She was preceded in death by her parents; as well as sisters, Mary F. Galbraith and Dorothy M. Plumlee.
