Indianapolis dean’s list

The following students made the spring dean’s list at the University of Indianapolis:

Bartholomew County: Andrew Carr, Erin Mack, Dylan Maschino, Mallory Myers, Meredith Ondrejack, Margaret Sanders, Cassidy Smith, Samantha Watters and Bethany Harper.

Jennings County: Hunter Sporleder, Kyleigh Nelson, Lyndsay Miller, Alyssha Cloud, Matthew Cornett, Ariel Galliher, Taylor Hauersperger and John Kelley.

Students named to the list have completed at least 12 hours during a semester and earned a grade point average of 3.7 or higher.

North grad earns residency

Rachel Handt, a 2009 Columbus North High School graduate, recently earned a residency to specialize in neurological physical therapy from the University of Southern California and Rancho Los Amigos for the 2017-18 school year.

She will be teaching doctoral level students at USC, conducting research and seeing patients at Rancho Los Amigos.

Handt also graduated from Ball State University in 2013 and the Indiana University School of Physical Therapy in 2016. She is currently employed by Community Health Network.

Alabama dean’s list

Two local students were named to the University of Alabama’s dean’s list:

Tyler Woodrow Lyons of Columbus

Jordan Q. Miller of Hartsville

Students must have an academic record of 3.5 or above to make the dean’s list. The lists recognizes full-time undergraduate students.

Ball State dean’s list

Ball State University recognizes on its dean’s list undergraduates who earn at least a 3.5 grade-point average for 12 or more credits of graded course work during a semester, or for 6 or more credits of graded course work during a summer term.

Wittenberg dean’s list

Wittenberg University recognizes students who maintain a 3.5 or higher grade point average for the semester.

Karen Wildemann of Columbus was named to the dean’s list this Spring semester.

Multiple Bartholomew County students graduated from ball State University in the spring. They are:

Miami graduates

Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, awarded 3,683 degrees to students during spring commencement exercises. Two of the graduates were from Columbus:
