The Jo-Ann Fabric store in Columbus Center will be moving this fall to a new location in the Eastbrook Shopping Center, in the 2600 block of 25th Street near Harbor Freight.
Work on renovating the former drug store location has begun and is expected to be completed in September, with a grand opening tentatively set for Oct. 5, employees said.
JC Penney, which has been operating in Columbus for nearly a century, will close its location in the FairOaks Mall on July 31, said company spokesman Joseph Thomas.
