Here’s the schedule for the 137th Jennings County Fair at the fairgrounds, 4920 State Road 3 North, North Vernon.

Today

2-4 p.m.: 4-H turkey check-in

2-5 p.m.: 4-H rabbits, ducks, chickens check-in

4-6 p.m.: 4-H sheep, goats, llama check-in

5-7 p.m.: 4-H beef or dairy check-in

5 p.m.: Vespers with First Nazarene Church, at the Pavilion

7-8:30 p.m.: 4-H swine check-in

Monday

8-10 a.m.: 4-H dairy check-in

9 a.m.: 4-H rabbit show

9-11 a.m.: Open Class entry (perishables)

2 p.m.: 4-H dairy/pygmy goat show

2-3 p.m.: 4-H goat auction pictures

5 p.m.: 4-H goat showmanship

5-10 p.m.: Buildings open to public

6:30-8 p.m.: 4-H swine, goat auction pictures

6-9 p.m.: Ronnie Deaton & Risin’ Ridge, at the Pavilion

7 p.m.: 4-H meat goat show

7:30 p.m.: Archery at the Grandstand by Accuracy Unlimited. Entry fee $2. For all ages, with Novice competition first. Grandstand tickets $4.

8 p.m.: Open goat showmanship show

9 p.m.: Seed-spitting contest, at the Pavilion

Tuesday

9 a.m.: 4-H poultry show

3:30 p.m.: 4-H swine showmanship/gilt show

5 p.m.: Stars & Stripes

5-10 p.m.: Buildings open to public

5 p.m.: 4-H mini horse show, at the horse arena

5-8 p.m.: Red Cross blood drive

6 p.m.: 4-H horse contest, 4-H barrow show, midway opens

7-9 p.m.: Country Kickers, at the Pavilion

7 p.m.: Ronnie Deaton & Risin’ Ridge, at the Grandstand. Tickets $4.

9 p.m.: Pie-eating contest, at the Pavilion

Wednesday

(No smoking day)

9 a.m.: 4-H sheep show

8:30-9:30 a.m.: 4-H sheep auction pictures

4-10 p.m.: Buildings open to public

Noon: Tractor pull, at the Pavilion

2 p.m.: 4-H dairy show

4 p.m.: Midway opens

5 p.m.: 4-H heifer/showmanship show

6-7 p.m.: Steps Dance Center, at the Pavilion

Thursday

Noon: Travis Easterling magic show, at the Pavilion (special needs event only)

1 p.m.: 4-H Olympics, at the livestock arena

5-10 p.m.: Buildings open to public

5 p.m.: 4-H livestock grooming contest

5:30 p.m.: Public 4-H/Open Fashion revue, 4-H public speaking, demonstrations and action demonstrations in the Community Building

6 p.m.: Midway opens; magician Travis Easterling, at the Pavilion; composting and worm bin demonstration, in the Open Class Building

6-7 p.m.: 4-H goat milk production contest

6:30 p.m.: 4-H supreme showmanship contest

7 p.m.: Columbus Cloggers, at the Pavilion; Garden Tractor Pull, at the Grandstand, grandstand admission $5, pit admission $15

8 p.m.: Star Promenaders, at the Pavilion

9 p.m.: Hot dog-eating contest, at the Pavilion

Friday

7 a.m.-noon: Non-auction animals released

5-10 p.m.: Buildings open to the public

5 p.m.: Auction buyers dinner, at the Pavilion

5:30 p.m.: Auction buyers registration

6 p.m.: Midway opens

6:30 p.m.: Auction begins

7 p.m. KOI Drag Racing, at the Grandstand. Practice 5 p.m. Eliminations at 7. Grandstand admission $5, pit admission $15.

8 p.m.: Ko’s Martial Arts, at the Pavilion

Saturday

9-10 a.m.: Open Class exhibits released

9-11 a.m.: 4-H exhibits released

6 p.m.: Midway opens

7 p.m.: Mud sling, at Grandstand. Gates open 4 p.m. Grandstand admission $5, pit admission $15.

July 9

1 p.m.: 4-H awards ceremony

2 p.m.: 4-H and Open Class exhibits released

3 p.m.: Post-fair cleanup
