Philip Robert Lovell died peacefully on June 30, 2017, at the age of 72, in Clearwater, Florida.
Philip was born Dec. 27, 1944, in Lebanon, Indiana, and spent his early adult life in Columbus, Indiana. He was the son of James Arthur Lovell and Nora Alice (Daum) Johnson and is survived by brothers, Gilbert Lovell of Los Lunas, New Mexico, James Lovell of Stevensville, Maryland and Richard Lovell of Sun City, Arizona; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Before moving to Florida, Philip was assistant manager for a family-owned ice cream business in Columbus, Indiana. He resided for the past many years in the St. Petersburg, Florida, area where he assisted in the distribution of Avon products.
Philip will be remembered for always keeping in touch with his many relatives residing across the country. Philip also had a keen interest in his family’s history and from memory could recite relative’s names, birth dates and anniversaries. In earlier life he enjoyed playing the piano, writing poetry and photography.
Philip will be greatly missed by all who came to know and love him. Interment will be at the Garland Brook Cemetery, Columbus, Indiana.
