Rick and Kay Shanks of Columbus celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Mr. Shanks and the former Kay Corubbs were married June 30, 1967, at the Beech Grove Church of the Nazarene by the Rev. Richard Grubbs, Mrs. Shanks’ father.
Mr. Shanks is employed at Maintenance Electrician Repair Co. Inc.
Mrs. Shanks is a volunteer.

The couple have two children, Timothy (Jill) Shanks of Columbus and Jennifer (James) Laymon of Jacksonville, Florida. They also have four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
