Southwestern Bartholomew Water has issued a boil water order after a power outage from Tuesday mornings strong thunderstorms.
The power outage is affecting a booster station on State Road 46 West serving customers on the west side of State Road 46 in the Stoney Lonesome area and all of the company’s customers in Brown County. Also affected are customers on Georgetown Road, Baker Hollow Road and the Bethany area.
A boil water advisory is in effect from now until 4 p.m. Thursday. As a precaution, customers should bring water to a full boil for five minutes before consumption or use in cooking and food preparation.
