WELDON SPRING, Mo. — A man is hospitalized after being stranded for several days along Missouri’s Katy Trail before a bicyclist found him.

Authorities with the St. Charles County Ambulance District say he is in serious condition but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. His name was not released.

The Katy Trail is a 240-mile hiking and biking trail that runs across the state.

A bicyclist called 911 Tuesday after finding the man southwest of Francis Howell High School in the Weldon Spring area, about 35 miles west of St. Louis. Emergency crews were told the man had been stranded for several days, but no further details were available. No bike was found near him.

Temperatures reached the upper 90s over the past several days in St. Charles County.
