Noted Boston architect William Rawn, designer of Fire Station 6, was chosen as architect for the new $7.2 million Mill Race Center.

1992

Vandals caused thousands of dollars of damage at Bartholomew County Welfare Dept. offices, knocking holes in walls and ceilings, setting off fire extinguishers and turning over furniture there and at two other Creekside Office Park businesses.

True Temper Corp. on Michigan Avenue, founded in 1891 as Columbus Handle and Tool Corp., announced it would cease operations here and move to Cleveland, Ohio.
