Rep. Milo Smith, R-Columbus, has been named vice chairman of the Interim Study Committee on elections.
The committee will examine topics, gather testimony and recommend potential legislation.
Smith was also assigned to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Commission, the Military Base Planning Council and the Distressed Unit Appeal Board.
Interim study committee hearings, which are usually conducted at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, may be viewed live online at iga.in.gov. The site has the committee schedule and meeting agendas. The public is also invited to attend and testify at the committee hearings.
