Ramona Collier, 73, of Columbus, passed from this life at 5:45 a.m. Friday, July 14, 2017, at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation.

Mrs. Collier was a homemaker and a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.

Ramona loved to spend time with her family at Norris Lake, going on cruises and walking the beach.

She enjoyed attending all her grandchildren’s sporting events and her monthly Euchre Club.

She had a passion for helping children and was formerly employed at Nancy’s Nook & Nursery and was a leader of the children’s ministry Bible Study Fellowship for 14 years.

The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church with the Rev. Mark Teike officiating.

Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the church.

Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Mrs. Collier was born in Whitesburg, Kentucky, on March 4, 1944. She was the daughter of James and Banzel Hammonds Adams.

She married John H. Collier Sr. on June 15, 1963.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years; a daughter, Diana (Bill) Mann of Columbus; a son, John (Misty) Collier Jr. of Columbus; grandchildren, Devin Mann, Mitchel and Ava Collier, all of Columbus; and twin sisters, Patsy (Bill) Stamper and Patty (Bruce) Brown, both of Whitesburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Cornelius “Neal” Adams.
