TAMPA, Fla. — A 24-year-old Florida man is accused of fatally shooting a convenience store clerk during an apparent robbery.

Tampa police said in a news release that Christopher Antonio Sheffield shot 60-year-old Mohamoud Ibrahim at the store on Sunday.

Sheffield was arrested early Monday after police identified him through video surveillance from the store got a tip that he might be hiding out in a Tampa apartment.

Sheffield is charged with first-degree murder, robbery with a firearm, carrying a concealed firearm and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Jail records don’t list a lawyer for him.
