Frances Wilhite

Frances “Nancy” Wilhite, 90, of Edinburgh, Indiana, passed away on July 15, 2017, at her residence. She was born on Feb. 16, 1927, in Adair County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of John Bryant and Maggie (Burton) Curry. She married Virgil H. Wilhite on Aug. 11, 1946, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 1989.

She is survived by a son, Steven Wilhite (Ilzana Reed) of Edinburgh, Indiana; a daughter, Linda (Dickie) Lee of Edinburgh, Indiana; grandchildren, Brian (Kelly) Wilhite of Edinburgh, Indiana, Misty Wilhite of Edinburgh, Indiana and Karri Lewis of Edinburgh, Indiana; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; half-brother, Cashous Bryant; half-sisters, Mattie Ezell and Rosa Kneip; one step-brother; and four step-sisters.

She worked at Camp Atterbury during WWII. She retired after 32 years of cleaning Edinburgh’s town office.

She was a member of the Edinburgh Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed attending church activities and going to yard sales.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, by the Reverend Jim Hudson at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be from 10 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
