FORT MYERS, Fla. — A Florida woman was found dead in her home following a fire.

The News-Press of Fort Myers reports the body of 58-year-old Tamela Sweeley-Bissonnettewas was found in her Fort Myers home Tuesday.

South Trail Fire Department spokeswoman Christie Knudsen says a work crew at a neighboring home reported a fire at a shed, but crews found the home fully engulfed in flames when they arrived.

Officials say the Lee County Sheriff’s Office will handle the death investigation while the fire marshal will examine the cause of the blaze.
