Janet Lou “Jan” Mobley, 76, of Columbus, Indiana, passed away July 13, 2017, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born Dec. 27, 1940, in Columbus, Indiana, to Floyd McMahan and Edna (Mohr) McMahan.
Jan was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Mobley, her parents and a brother, John McMahan.
She is survived by her children, Michael Mobley, Tamara Mobley-Wicker (Jeff Wicker), Donald F. Mobley and Kristina Steward; grandchildren, Michael Mobley Jr., Shauna Mobley, Quinton Steward, Mikayla Mobley, Spencer Steward, Olivia Steward, Aidan Wicker and Zane Mobley; and great-grandchildren, Michael Mobley III, Merick Mobley and Coltin Mobley.
Jan was a teacher for many years in both Columbus and San Antonio.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Myers-Reed Memorial Chapel, 3729 E. 25th St., Columbus. Burial will follow at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
