Movie series kicks off Saturday downtown

COLUMBUS, Ind. — The Columbus Young Professionals will present the first of its three summertime free Moonlight Movies from the 1990s at dusk between 9 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday outdoors at Columbus City Hall, 123 Washington St. downtown.

“Independence Day,” the 1996 film starring Will Smith, will be shown. Smith plays a leader of a group of people who converge in the Nevada desert in the aftermath of a worldwide attack by an extraterrestrial race of unknown origin.
