LONGMONT, Colo. — Authorities in Colorado are investigating a fatal shooting of a 23-year-old man in a Wal-Mart parking lot.

The Longmont Times-Call reported http://bit.ly/2uV8Nvf that police had identified a person involved in the early Sunday morning shooting and were attempting to locate him.

The unidentified victim was shot about 3 a.m. and died of his injuries after being transported to a hospital.

The victim’s name was to be released by the Weld County Coroner’s Office pending notification of next of kin.

Police said there was no danger to the surrounding community. The Wal-Mart was open for business Sunday morning with one end of the parking lot taped off and police working the scene for evidence.
