NEW LONDON, Conn. — Police are investigating after two people were injured in an apparent knife fight over the weekend in New London.

Witnesses told police that two men had been injured in a fight outside the Y-Knot Cafe just before 2 a.m. Sunday.

One man had stab wounds to the torso area and another suffered a “stab/slash wound to the face and mouth area.”

Both men were taken to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital. They were stabilized on Sunday.

No names were made public.

Police are asking anyone with information about the injuries to contact them.
