KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Authorities have identified the victim of a Kansas City, Kansas, homicide as a 31-year-old man.

Police said in a news release Monday that Cornelius Felton, of Kansas City, Kansas, was injured when officers responded Saturday night to a stabbing. He was taken to a hospital and later died of his injuries. A person of interest has been taken into custody.

Police continue investigating.
