METAIRIE, La. — A man who authorities say robbed a Louisiana bank has been arrested.

NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune reports 36-year-old Chrishon Brown was arrested Thursday and charged with several offenses including two counts of armed robbery.

Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office Lt. Jason Rivarde says Brown is accused of robbing a Resource Bank in Metairie on June 24. Authorities say the suspect was armed and ordered tellers to hand over money. The suspect then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Detectives and FBI agents identified Brown as a possible suspect but were unable to find him until Wednesday.

Brown told authorities during questioning that he was in the area when the robbery occurred. However, he denied being responsible for the holdup.

It’s unclear if Brown has a lawyer.
