GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police have charged a North Carolina man in his wife’s death, days after she called authorities to report he had broken into her home after his release from jail.

The Greensboro Police Department said Monday that 44-year-old Theodore Maurice Parker was charged with first-degree murder in the death of 27-year-old Tasaria Tasia Glover.

Glover’s death had initially been ruled suspicious pending preliminary autopsy results, which showed she had been asphyxiated.

According to police, Glover called police on July 16, saying Parker had broken into her home and stolen some of her property. Police were already looking for Parker, a parolee who had removed his ankle monitor.

Three days later, Parker was apprehended at a local motel. He is jailed without bond, and it’s not known if he has an attorney.
