OPELIKA, Ala. — An Alabama man has been killed in a single-vehicle crash.

The Opelika-Auburn news reports that 73-year-old James Jerome Allen died in the crash Monday morning on U.S. Route 80 roughly three miles west of Phenix City.

Authorities say Allen died when the 2002 Ford Thunderbird he was driving left the roadway and overturned. He hadn’t been using a seat belt and was ejected before being pronounced dead at the scene.

Further information wasn’t available as state troopers continue the investigation.
