Cummins to unveil new vision, mission, values at block party for employees, community

COLUMBUS, Indiana — Bartholomew County’s largest employer will unveil its updated mission, vision and values during a public block party Wednesday in downtown Columbus.

Global diesel engine maker and power company Cummins Inc. is updating its mission, vision  and values as part of preparations for its 100th anniversary in 2019.

The updates were needed in order to be current, company spokeswoman Katie Zarich said.

“It had been more than 15 years since they were last revised, and the company has evolved since then,” Zarich said.

Cummins leaders will present the “Cummins story” and talk about the updated mission, vision and values starting at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Corporate Office Building, 500 Jackson St. The event runs through 4 p.m. Wednesday.
