JACKSON, Miss. — Police in Mississippi have charged three people in a deadly home invasion that left a suspected burglar dead and a resident badly injured.

The Clarion-Ledger reports Jackson police arrested three men — 21-year-old Johnny Horn, 23-year-old Fredrick Sumrall and 34-year-old Marcus Edwards — on charges of aggravated assault, burglary and attempted armed robbery in the July 18 break-in.

Jackson police said in a news release that an 18-year-old man who lived in the home was hospitalized with multiple gunshot wounds. One of the suspected burglars, 25-year-old Jacoby Davis, was killed.

Police said detectives recovered a substantial amount of illegal drugs from the home.

It was not immediately known if any of the three charged suspects had attorneys representing them.
