GREENVILLE, S.C. — Two North Carolina teens have admitted they drove a van through the doors of a South Carolina gun store and stole 43 weapons.

Court documents show 18-year-old Sahier Richardson pleaded guilty Tuesday to stealing firearms. His co-defendant, 18-year-old Juran Witherspoon, pleaded guilty to a similar charge in February and was sentenced to 2½ years in prison.

Authorities say the men used sledgehammers and baseball bats to shatter display cases after driving a stolen van into The Gun Shop in Simpsonville on Oct. 13. The robbery lasted less than a minute.

Court records show Richardson was arrested later that day at his Charlotte school and had one of the stolen guns in his backpack.

Richardson faces up to 10 years in prison when he is sentenced at a later date.
