ARLINGTON, Wash. — Officials are searching for the driver who knocked a cyclist off the road and drove away.

KCPQ-TV reports (http://bit.ly/2tzxJ72 ) that a shattered side mirror is the one clue that could help solve a Snohomish County hit-and-run.

Early Sunday, Mike Schuetze says a driver in a gray Kia hit him from behind as he biked down ’45 Road’ in Arlington, Washington.

Schuetze says the impact was so hard that it broke the car’s passenger side mirror.

Schuetze says he suffered bruises and lacerations and a compound fracture of on his left hand, left pinky finger.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.

The Washington State Patrol says it is receiving more and more reports of hit-and-run incidents.
