TUCSON, Ariz. — Tucson police say a man is dead after being shot during an altercation on a street on the city’s southeast side.

Sgt. Pete Dugan says the shooting occurred Wednesday morning on the 8700 block of East Almond Street, which is near East Irvington Road and South Camino Seco.

Dugan says circumstances of the shooting remain unclear but that initial information indicates that there was an altercation and that several people were present.

The dead man’s identity wasn’t released, and no immediate arrests were made.
