FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Officials say a man was struck by a freight train in Florida.

The Orlando Sentinel reports the man was hit by a Florida East Coast Railway train on Tuesday at about 11:50 a.m.

Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Gregory May says the man had traumatic injuries and was taken to the hospital. The man’s identity hasn’t been released.

This is the second railroad crash in Fort Lauderdale in two days.
