COVINGTON, La. — Authorities say two badly decomposed bodies have been found in a Louisiana mobile home.

The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that deputies discovered the body during a Monday afternoon welfare check of the Covington-area mobile home.

The Advocate reports the tenants of the trailer had not been heard from for at least 10 days, and a foul odor was coming from the residence.

Positive identification of the bodies and a cause of death will be made after the autopsies are completed.

Authorities say there were no obvious signs of foul play.
