PAIGE, Texas — Authorities say two women have died in a Central Texas mobile home fire.

Officials are seeking the cause of the fire reported around 1 a.m. Wednesday at a rural home near Paige, about 35 miles (56 kilometers) east of Austin.

Fire Chief Josh Gill with Bastrop County Emergency Services District No. 2 says neighbors noticed the flames and summoned help.

Gill says firefighters located the first body, in a bedroom, while battling the blaze. He says the second body was found later in a bathroom.

Gill says firefighters do not believe the fire was suspicious.

Autopsies were ordered. Names of the victims and any possible relationship weren’t immediately released.

Gill says most of the mobile home was destroyed by the flames.
