ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Police in northern Virginia say three people have been taken to hospitals with injuries that aren’t considered life-threatening after a shooting.

Alexandria Police tweeted that they are looking for a suspect who is known to the victims after the shooting on Thursday afternoon. Police say they do not know what prompted the shooting.

Police are asking people to avoid the area and to report anything suspicious or concerning.
