WILMINGTON, Del. — A 16-year-old boy and 18-year-old woman have been shot and wounded in Wilmington.

Police said in a statement that officers responding to a report of gunfire on Wednesday night were directed to a home on Madison Street. There police say they found a 16-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to his upper left leg and an 18-year-old girl with a gunshot wound to her lower right leg.

Both were taken to a hospital in stable condition.
