PIKEVILLE, Ky. — The Kentucky Community and Technical College System plans to participate in the Shaping Our Appalachian Region summit next month.

The Independent reports the college system will host one session on aerospace and manufacturing opportunities and another session on broadband and the digital economy during the Aug. 4 summit in Pikeville.

Kentucky Community and Technical College System President Dr. Jay Box will moderate the sessions and Hazard Community and Technical College President Dr. Jennifer Lindon will be the featured speaker.

Meanwhile, representatives from colleges located in Ashland, Prestonsburg, Hazard, Somerset and Cumberland will display how programs offered at those campuses are driving innovation.
